The Silence of the Lambs Film Translation

Fall 2019

Typographic translation of a famous scene from the film The Silence of the Lambs. In this scene, Hannibal and Clarice are engaged in a tense conversation in which Hannibal effectively psychoanalyzes Clarice, invading and taking up more of her space as the scene progresses. I recreated this power dynamic by typesetting Hannibal’s and Clarice’s dialogue on two separate sequences of paper that gradually get longer and shorter, respectively. I designed this coil bound booklet in Adobe InDesign for the class Typography.
